History and Capabilities of Silk Screen Shirts, Inc.

Silk Screen Shirts, Inc. is a San Diego-based company that has been locally owned and operated since 1969. We have been a pioneer in developing state-of-the-art silk screening and embroidery designs and products. Our initial market was the restaurant industry. We targeted this market for several years and became one of the leading printers and embroiderers for the restaurant trade, nationally. Customer service and quality, combined with creativity to reduce costs, has always been our primary objective. We are proud to be able to provide a complete employee uniform package, as well as golf shirts, T-shirts, hats, jackets, pants and other embellished apparel. We are able to accommodate the most unusual requests and sizes and can provide entire lines for retail and promotional products.

Silk Screen Shirts, Inc. began to diversify in the early 1980's and started to actively pursue contract printing clients, special event customers and corporate accounts. We have been fortunate to have provided products and services to such well know clients as Sony, Disney, Reebok, Legoland, Discount Tire/America's Tire, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres 1998 World Series, numerous Super Bowl games, Gold's Gym, Qualcomm, The Golden Door, just to name a few.

In 2004 we ventured into a new arena, the action sports industry, which includes surfing, snowboarding and skating. We have been successful in providing products and services for some of the leading corporations in this industry. We also have had fun being creative and innovative with new small entrepreneurial companies. Our segue into this industry has allowed SSS to increase its productivity by nearly 100K prints per month.

Our specialty is setting up large programs of printed, embroidered and or uniform goods which we can produce and distribute daily to our customer's many locations throughout the United States. We currently provide these services to national accounts such as Garden Fresh Restaurants (Souplantation, and & Sweet Tomatoes), Rubio's Restaurants, and Discount Tire & American Tire locations AND Fatburger North America. Our services can include everything from designing, manufacturing, and warehousing, to order fulfillment, and distribution, direct to your individual locations. Monthly tracking, usage and inventory reports can be provided on all merchandise purchased. Our company is also capable of transferring all invoices and reports via electronic data. Silk Screen Shirts, Inc. has a creative design department that can work with your company to develop a unique, corporate program that will help brand an image in your customers' mind and will ensure customer loyalty.

Silk Screen Shirts, Inc. operates several 10-14 station automated presses and a dozen multi-color manual stations. This enables us to produce more than 35,000 plus prints per day. Our embroidery capacity is virtually unlimited. As necessary, we use independent contractors in the San Diego area, which helps control costs and keeps prices down. We also have capabilities for special handling requirements (hang tagging, labeling, bagging, folding, etc.)
